New to the jazz scene, Joe Juba Trio features Bill Compher on guitar and vocals, Val Rotter on vocals, and Tom Touse on trumpet and vocals. Bill Compher’s classical acoustical guitar lays the chord foundation and rhythm over which Val’s vocal and Tom’s trumpet leads explore some of the swing classics. Bill’s arrangements match songs that are not usually heard together utilizing similar chord structures with different melody lines. Their music tends to be from the twenties, thirties and forties with some original blues tunes composed by Bill Compher. They have been known to take off on a humorous tangent spanning political satire to sight gags and buffoonery.
